Happy birthday Connor!

Here are some pictures from Connors Birthday week! 

Logan got work off on Monday to go to the aquarium with us! These are from that morning. 

Connor loved watching the fish and people equally at the aquarium. It was fun because he was finally big enough to play outside in the kid's area.

 These are from his actual birthday. I made him special birthday pancakes! (I lost the originals when my phone when on a dive in the toilet but this was already on instagram).

Opening presents.

12 month/1 year photo shoot! It was so hard to get this little mover to stay still - thats why he is snacking in a few pictures! After this, I changed him into the shirt I made him for his birthday (the white one that says "one" on it) and we went outside to take the rest. I was waiting for my camera lens to unfog and trying to keep Connor from eating the leaves but he choked on one and threw up lunch all over his shirt so no pictures from that and that was the end of the photo shoot. 

Saturday we had a birthday party for him and did his smash cake! It was a gluten free vegan carrot cake.

Almost One!!

My baby is almost 1 year old!!

More adorableness coming soon in his 12 month 1 year post. Hopefully I get it posted this week.

We are celebrating it tomorrow (Monday) because that is the day Logan could get off although it isn't technically till Tuesday. His party and smash cake will be on Saturday.  

Walking Like A Boss

I think I can say now that I really have a walking baby! He learned this today and now just gets up to go everywhere! Before he was just crawling to furniture to stand up on. He will be a one year old in 3 days!

Baby Stains

I learned that protein stains take a while to show up. That's why you can pack away clean baby clothes and pull them out gross and yellow. But there is a solution! 

Soaked in Oxi clean over night then washed and laid out in the sun to dry! It really works!

I was worried they were still a bit yellow when I got them out of the wash but the sun really got the rest out in just a few sunny hours. 

Air Force Ball

Tonight was the Air Force Ball. We didn't stay long. We decided to be back before Connor's bed time because he has been so sick but it was nice to get dressed up and out for a little while.

Just chilling. He started putting his arms around his head because thats how his dad lays on the floor to watch TV. It is so cute to see him copying us. 

Unflavored Pedialyte for lunch, yum :P   He hated the flavored ones but likes this. Silly kid. I tried it and it is disgusting - like thick salty water.

 Look what Connor is doing to the side of his bed! Teeth! I watched him on the monitor the night before standing over there and he was practically hanging by his teeth.

Yep, day 8, still throwing up (mostly just at night the last few days). I feel like this little dude is getting too skinny. Babies are supposed to have rolls and chunk, not ribs!

Because he has been throwing up every night I needed a second zippy (his sleep sac) so I made one tonight (literally, I bought the fabric this afternoon and completed sewing it up while we watched a movie)! I'm so proud! I figured it out without any instructions! The original is almost identical to mine except mine is cuter with little stars and only cost about $10 for materials!

Poor Buddy

Connor has been sick throwing up for 3 days. He has been in pretty good spirits until today.

Day 1

His formula has not been staying down at all so I gave him some watered down Gatorade. It was ok for a few sips but he really doesn't like it. He wouldn't drink any of the watered down apple juice at all. 

Day 2 - Got him some unflavored Pedialyte and he likes that much better. He's been doing good with just that and plain rice cakes the last two days. 

Connors also had a lot of baths. I've also had to take 2 mandatory showers. Being silly in the mirror right after a bath to clean him off. 

Day 3 - Very sick baby! He spent the whole morning dry heaving. If he doesn't keep some liquids down after his nap I'm probably going to take him to see the Doctor (he hasn't kept any liquids down for about 14 hours now). He doesn't even have enough energy to play or lift his little head.

OHH! My poor little guy!! Sad to see you so sick but you are the most adorable thing I have ever seen! 

My little laundry helper (sort of)

Connor was such a goofball today! Love this kid! I tried to get him to help me pull stuff out caz he loves stuff like that but he just wanted me to do it and put them on top of him.

"Yes! I lost half of the pieces of my last puzzle so mom bought me a new one!" (What he doesn't know is that It was less than a $1 - and worth every penny)

He has also gotten really good at getting in this hiding spot behind the couch. I can tell this kid is going to love hide and seek and forts.
