It's been pretty rainy here lately but Sunday was beautiful! We went on a walk before dinner and Connor got to ride in his new car (he inherited from the nighbors). He loved it!
And of course he had to spend half of the time pushing it himself.
On our way back home he literally jumped out of his moving vehicle to go to the park so we played there a little bit until a group of bigger kids came. The kids saw the car to the side of the park and started trying to get in and jump on it. It's only for kids up to 3 and with the insert inside (part to keep the feet up until they are old enough to move it themselves) it barely fits Connor so I told them they all had to get out/off of it. They didn't take it very personally and decided if they couldn't ride it they would push Connor around!
Connor played along and was happy (and a little confused looking) as the kids took him all over the playground calling him president baby. It was pretty funny. Before he got too overstimulated I took him home to make dinner.
Check how flexible this baby is! I know it's just a baby thing but wow! Sometimes I have a hard time just touching my toes with my fingers much less with my head!! Haha
Connor has grown a lot taller and his 12 month pants are getting too short. Unfortunately, the next size is 18 months and as you can see they are much too big for the flat bottomed baby. I think he got his grandpa Cluff's bum (or lack there of). I have a few that have adjusting elastic inside but they look so funny because to get them tight enough they just look all bunched up and then all saggy in the back. I can't wait until short season to be an everyday thing again. Speaking of him getting so tall he can now get things off of the kitchen counter if they are too close to the egde!! He's gotten down several things including a bag or tortillas and scissors. I'm not ready!

This is a typical Connor look. As he finds his shoes, binki and hats they all become part of his fashione statement. Today he did a good job of matching. We try on shoes pretty much every day and he gets really sad when he gets me to put my shoes on but we don't go outside. Today I got to also "wear" several of his shoes while he sported a winter boot and flip flop (this actually really represents the weather here the last week quite well).
Tonight he insisted on giving this mini pan a ride around on his scooter. It was pretty funny but he kept getting frustrated when it fell off. It's hard being a toddler and having your pan not stay where you put it.
Dinner tonight was a zucchini, carrot, Apple gluten free, egg free, dairy free muffin (I made!), a slice of cheese, some chickpeas, sweet potato baby food and thawed frozen blueberries. He totally wiped the sweet potatoes all though his hair so this is what he looked like after his wipe bath and he was being cute. Course the mess wasn't as bad as the day he was eating broccoli and rice and decided to play peek a boo (hands wiping from his head down over his eyes and face over and over).
Bath time! Connor picked out the two ducks (one is a toothbrush holder) and lined them up on the edge all by himself! I was really impressed! I've never pulled them out at the same time or told him they were the same. He just knows when he's holding one I tell him the sound a duck makes.
So I looked online at tons and tons of bath toy holders and they are all so stupid. I don't want a frog or giant net in there every time I shower (sorry if that's your thing Cynthia) so I was pretty happy when I saw this normal shower caddy. Plus it stays up with waterproof command strips so Connor can get things in and out and I think it holds better then suction cups.
Side note. I'm kinda obsessed with command strips. Every picture/ decoration on my wall is hung with them and my wall cord organizers, my baby proofed kitchen cabinets have the picture velcroe strips to keep Connor out, all my wall hooks and even my bookshelf is anchored to the wall with them. Favorite household product ever! Part of it is also because I'm and renter and I don't want to patch all the wholes when we move out. Haha!
