6 Year Anna-versary

Saturday, April 23, 2016
I call all our anniversaries our Anna-versary. Logan doesn't care much for celebrations so I decided to take this as a second day to celebrate me. Haha Just kidding. It is still for the both of us but I really do call it that because I think it is funny.

I just wasn't feeling over fancy so we went to a normal place that I knew had good crab legs. It was supposed to be raining all weekend but look how beautiful it turned out to be! We liked this place because it is right on the water and has beautiful sunsets.

Our fancy splurge on virgin drinks. I did get the crab legs. So good, no time to take pictures.
Frozen Yogurt for dessert after! My favorite!
Logan surprised me with a new band for my ring! Apparently this has been in the works for 7 months! A while back my ring went "missing". I know it had to be Logan but I went along with it in hopes of getting something shiny. Apparently he got an email that it was ready to be picked up just days after leaving on his deployment! Thank goodness he had a good friend who got it and kept it safe while he was gone. I like it!
The day after Logan watched Connor so I could go shopping! It was great getting out by myself for a little me time. I once hated doing anything alone but I totally went got myself some garlic rice, drove to the outlets and ate ice cream all without stressing out about getting Connor sick, or having to run after him and deal with all his whininess. It was great! Glad Logan is home!

Okinawa Zoo

Thursday, April 21, 2016
A friend invited us to go to the zoo with them. I decided to put Connor in his back pack leash and it ended up being perfect! He was able to be down, run around and see the animals and I was able to feel like I had a little control. win/win.
Connor really likes his friend Ely. She is sweet and Connor is always himself when she is around.
Connor loved hanging and climbing on all the railings. Every single one we passed lol.
These monkeys were his favorite! He laughed and giggled when they swung across the top of their cage.
At the hippos, I looked down and at some point he had bloodied his lip. I guess he was fine though because he never made any fuss about it. I think there was just too much to see! The rocks here were his other favorite part.
I was pretty impressed he walked the whole zoo!

Connor is 1 1/2!

Wednesday, April 20, 2016
Is now one and a half (well he was 3 weeks ago. haha)! It's an exiting age full of change and learning! At his checkup he weighed just over 24.25 pounds (pretty normal) and was in the 67th percentile (32.5 inches) for height! I keep hoping he stays tall! At his checkup we talked about his allergies. Since there isn't really anyone to see here or tests to do until he is older they said to just keep on doing what I was doing and upon my request gave me an epi pen just incase. They did say he was borderline behind on speech and fine motor skills so I should have him evaluated.

I had the first meeting (before they schedule a evaluation). It was interesting. I told them I wanted to hold off (although we are getting his hearing checked again) because I think he just needs a little more time. As it would seem this last month since then (and now that he isn't sick or teething) he has been making all sorts of progress! I know that he is very smart but he is also just likes to do his own thing if that makes since.

And here are a million pictures! From the last 2 months!
Connor loves the park and playing outside! He begs me to go every day!
Its so nice having a fenced in yard although he still likes to play back by the jungle!
Connor loved having his daddy back! I think he was tired of me. I can't stop laughing at both of their funny faces in the bottom right picture.
I like having Logan back to. He was sweet and let me take a nap that afternoon and this is what I came down the stairs to see. EWW!
Toddlers are the definition of entropy.
Below Logan and Connor are playing Gadalf and the Balrog. See his sword and staff? haha
I've been teaching Connor how to help out around the house. He helps me carry in groceries and I he loves window wipes.
Of course life is the best when we are at the beach!
Connor is so strong! Look at the rock he picked out of the water. The guy with the dog also let Connor throw the ball to him. Connor LOVES dogs but took him awhile to get the whole throw-the-ball part.
I love how willing Connor is "to go along with it" when I put things on him like hats, sunglasses and of course towel capes.
Connor knows exactly what I mean when I ask if he wants to go upstairs. Sometimes he gets a little distracted by closing the gate on me and sitting on the other side in triumph.
Remember how I told you one day he went through a growth spirt. Well all the sudden he went from only opening the drawers to being able to pull things out! Yikes! Don't worry, they had their covers on and that drawer is now locked.
Connor loves drinking. He loves milk and especially water! I got him some chocolate milk once but he didn't really like it and he hates juice. So I'm fine with that.
Another beach day the last time Logan was gone.
Connor loves swings and who wouldn't with that view!
Every time he hears or sees an airplane his little finger shoots up to the sky. That day with all the ocean right in front of him, he preferred the gazebo puddle.
Connor dumped all my clothes out, put the basket on his head and then walked around and picked each piece back up.  See that little table?! I found it on the curb, cleaned it up and Connor loves it!
Shopping with buddy...is interesting. He loves having a little more freedom than I'm willing to give him right now. Here he is with the little kid shopping cart. He would push it two feet and then run to touch something, then I get him and repeat. At the entrance of this store I did let him ride the picachu because he got in and I thought it was funny. After the ride you even get a ball with a candy in it! Although I ate that for him.
Again trying to get through a quick run to the store. Every chance he gets he RUNS away as fast as he can!
How to watch general conference with a toddler.
More playing at the park. He loves climbing everything. The other picture I thought was cute when a big loud plane passed by. I love being the leg he runs to when he isn't sure about something.
This day Connor got leftover casserole (an assortment of food he had left on his tray the last few feedings). Then he was being silly and trying to put an apple in his ear. He likes to test his ears and cover his eyes randomly.
What a funny face! And sometimes you have to skip the high chair all together and eat laying on the kitchen floor (he was hard core teething that day and one meal this was literally the only way I could get him to eat a little bit).
Worm! Connor didn't hesitate for a second to pick it up. All boy.
This was from just this last Sunday. I thought his outfit was so cute but this was the best shot I got of him the whole day.
Climbing, climbing, climbing.
This last time Logan came home with a present from Kara Anne! He loved taking the wrapping paper off and pulling the toys out and putting them back in over and over.
I think he looks so different when he is sleeping. Maybe just more still then I'm used to.
This day I was shoving him into the couch and pushing him over. Connor thought it was so funny!
I love little reminders that I like with a toddler like when I pull out my office chair and find this.
Where's the baby?!
I recently just got out his clothes for summer and they are all 18 month! Connor has actually be pretty consistent with growing into the clothes the next size up just after turning that age. For those who don't know, baby clothes are sized newborn, 3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, 12 mo, 18 mo, 24 mo... and then you get to 2T, 3T.... Usually the sizes represent the top age that they should be in them. So Connor should have been growing out of the 18 month clothes when he turned 18 months but he is kinda on the skinny size so that is a little off for us although he usually gets too tall for his clothes first. But it is always exciting when clothes are adjustable! They are 24mo/2T and with the waist pulled in, you can see they fit him perfectly in the length. I love them on him!
This day Connor just had to go in the desk drawer. Haha! He was so funny about it and didn't want to come out.
Just like daddy!
Shopping is more fun when you have someone to try things on with :)
And here are some photos I took on the day he turned 18 months. He has the best smile!
Love,
Love,
Love him!
