So crazy to me that in just one month my baby will be a year old and not really a baby anymore but a toddler!!
He is wearing 12 month clothes, weighs about 19 pounds, is ____ tall (I'll fill in tomorrow when he wakes up) and has 5 teeth.
I would say Connor's biggest accomplishment for this last month is walking!! He is doing so good at it! By day 3 he was already walking between things without any encouragement. He is still only take a couple steps at a time but learning that it can get him places and that he can actually control the direction he goes! His best so far is 11 in a row. I still feel like I haven't gotten the best videos of him walking but here are a few.
Connor is also talking better and says mom and dad and knows what "I'm going to get you!" means. He loves trying to get away and will wait for you to follow again. He will also copy faces. He likes to scrunch is nose and snuff in and out. He also knows what a puppy says, or more accurately what a puppy does when it pants. In addition he claps and sometimes waves. He just won't do any of his tricks if someone new is watching.
Connor is very curious and likes to explore. He is also very brave and loves to crawl off the couch head first, make a break for the gates whenever we leave them open, and get into anything he can.
He likes to hold thing that dangle or are connected to strings.
When we read books before bed, Connor likes to turn the pages.
Just this last month Connor is still his busy little self but will also stop for a few minutes at a time to sit on my lap and eat out of his cereal cup or watch something on the TV. I know it doesn't seem like a accomplishment but it is showing me how he is growing up a little.
Eating as always is a fun adventure. I try really hard to make sure he gets as balanced of a diet as I can. Meals usually consist of some kind of beans and veggies or fruit. I cook all his beans in my crockpot.
Connor has always been fun to watch wake up. It has changed a lot over the months but always cute. I think this is a pretty good video. In it you see how he gets on top his blankie puts is head down and then bounces. He does that all the time and it is how he falls asleep. Silly kid. It will be funny to see if he eventually learns to sleep under his blanket and not on top. The picture where he is standing was one time when he pooped while he was asleep and his pjs and zippy smelled so bad I just had to change him and put him back to bed without his zippy leaving his hands free. When I woke up in the morning all the ties were undone.
Big boxes are finally fun!
Watching Typhoon Goni. He loves everything about outside. The day after we went out and watched a waves.
This was a fun night. We went out to eat and then walked along the sea wall. At the end is a little beach/swimming area. Logan and me each held one of Connor's hands and Connor walked the whole length of the little beach! It was times like this when I wish I had someone following us around to take adorable pictures of my little family.
Suspenders!!! I got them for his birthday! Best Dollar ever spent.
Sometimes Connor is just so cute. I was running his bath and he wanted to snuggle.
Getting so big!
Logan's work had a family fun day at the beach. Connor had a blast swimming with his dad. In the last pictures Connor waved at me!
Sometimes Connor has bad days. He has a hard time napping when he doesn't feel good but I love to get extra cuddles. This last time he was making dirty diapers every other hour and it was making his little bum so red. To help it feel better I let him run around to air out for a little while. Connor loved having me chase him around trying to blow on it.
Day to day activities.
One new cute thing is that Connor loves to play with balls. He Started doing this all by himself. Maybe he got it from watching us kick his balls around but he will hit the ball and chase after it - so happy. I know he is hitting it on purpose because he is completely capable of picking it up when he wants to.
After watching him crawl around with his ball I wondered if he would kick it. So I stood him up and walked around with him. He totally did it! Here is Logan with him.
I bought Connor a Japanese Robe/Onesie. So Cute!!
Look at that tongue!! haha! Yes, he is technically lip and tongue tied. His lip tie is very restricting but his tongue is obviously just fine.
Connor is showing you where he was born. In the second picture he is actually pointing right to Okinawa.
This little boy is just getting so much fun. He is great in the car, loves to have us chase him around, is starting to play better with other kids and I just can't get enough!
