Sue Visits Okinawa/Logan Comes Home

Friday, March 18, 2016
Logan's mom came to visit us and helped watch Connor so we could go on a little vacation.
Logan was not back yet when she got here so I got to play tour guide and have fun showing her around! And of course the first thing on the list was the beach!! We walked around Kadena Marina for a little bit and then took her to my favorite beach, Toguchi!
Getting ice cream from the vending machine.
That afternoon we packed with seeing Yomitan. We visited pottery village, Zakimi Castle, Cape Zampa and the cookie factory.

Day 2 we headed to Tori Beach in the morning. Connor loved all the long coral "sticks" and walking in the water.
After nap, we got dinner at Taco Rice, watched the sunset by the sea wall and went to a 100 yen store and of course I also got us some melon pan.
Her third day here it was quite rainy so I took Sue to the new mall to walk around and try a few more treats. Melon pan/Beni Imo ice cream sandwiches and fries with the best basil mayo dip in the world!
That night I put Connor to bed and went to pick up logan!!

The next morning Connor got to see his daddy for the first time in 4 months. He was a little unsure at first when he walked around the corner but when he really looked at Logan, I think he remembered his daddy.
Logan had to leave for a little bit and Connor even walked up to him and gave him a hug!
His first day back also happened to be Logan's birthday!! I think his favorite present was how by the end of the night Connor was running up to him and saying daddy over and over.
Family bedtime selfie!
The next day Logan and I left for Cambodia and were so grateful Connor had someone who loved him so much watching after him. She said he was so good and I was relieved everything went so well.

On Sue's last day here we took her to see Shuri Castle, lunch at Arashi's to get garlic rice and because it is a Japanese ticket restaurant (order from a machine) and then some girl pampering with Japanese pedicures!
Thanks so much for coming and watching our son Sue! We love you!
