So far the beginning of month seven has been a little hard on our little boy! It started with TWO teeth coming in over the last few days, six month shots on monday, audiology appointment on tuesday and then 4 vials of blood drawn on wednesday.
These teeth have not been fun for any of us and I swear they only grow at night. He has been mostly happy until bed time. Then he is horrible but you all know about that. The teeth are still just coming up so you can't really see them from the front but you can definitely feel them. I have not been bitten yet but Connor wants to turn me into his personal pacifier. He spends a lot longer just sucking on my boob when he is done eating.
For Connor's doctor appointment I told my doctor that our goal for coming was to either find something to change, find someone to see or test something. He didn't have much to suggest and the closest allergist is in Anchorage, Alaska so we went with doing a blood test. After his apportionment he got his 6 month shots. Two day later we went down to the big hospital to get his blood drawn. I was surprised they took it just like they do for an adult. Logan came for moral support and so I held Connor and Logan fed him little cereals to keep him distracted. Connor did so well! He cried when they poked him but not much considering. Based on how much blood was drawn I was surprised how it didn't seem to have any lasting affect on him at all.
Tuesday his audiology test went great! He acted perfect the whole time. They did a test where they talked out of speakers to either side and saw if he would turn towards the sound. Connor turned the right direction every time. Then they did the same test we had done the last 3 appointments and it worked the first time for both ears!!! In the past we have tried on the right ear for over an hour without passing. Yay! Connor has been passed with at least normal range hearing. After that appointment we went to visit his Dad at work. Logan loves showing off his little boy!Connor is starting to scoot around on the floor to get to things he wants, he loves standing against the couch and bouncing in the bouncer. I put him in his crib the other day to do something and he started using the rail to walk across the front. While he is starting to be very particular to me, he will still let others hold him and is starting to love his daddy too. He is also starting to be very affectionate to me. I get hugs when I lift him out of bed in the morning and sometimes he just likes to grab my face and give me kisses! Getting him to smile is as easy as just smiling and talking to him.
He is getting easier and easier to go and do things during the day - especially in his car seat! When I put him in it now he likes to look out the window and easily falls asleep. It is crazy! He almost never feel asleep in his last one. I also love that if he does start to get fussy I can always fix it by handing or popping some food in his mouth.
He loves food. All food! His favorite are vegetables.
He is a great sitter now. He can bend over to pick up toys and then sit back up again. With these sitting skills we have finally moved him to baths in the regular tub. We will miss his sink baths. I hope he takes to this as well and learns to splash with his hands. So far he has been very quiet and observant.
Connor loves going upside-down and swinging into the air. I thought he was over the stair thing but he still gets a little scared sometimes. As you can see in the pics, he is getting more and more hair every day although he still looks bald to most people. People say he has a perfectly shaped head though at least. Pretty much every stranger agrees he is just the cutest thing.
I love how ticklish he is! His giggles are the best. He also started talking again lately. It is so cute how he says na da da da.
I think he is going to be right handed already. When he eats if he picks something up with his left hand he usually switches it over to his right to eat. He also uses his right hand to smack toys around. I think it is the arm that wakes him up at night flailing and he likes to repeatedly hit me with it while he is nursing on that side.
Here are our seven month photos! He is just the best sometimes and was even showing off some new tricks for you all!
Pretty baby eyes.
See, he has some hair!
Look at how strong those little legs are! His bum is resting on the couch but he is standing by himself. In the second pic, I love how his hands always go to his mouth when he is up side down.
He just loves the arm rest.
I put him on his knees for the picture but he is starting to get them up by himself.
