Ready for our first flight! I got tickets with a 10 hour layover so we could go to Disneyland for the evening! Did you know Tokyo has a Disneyland and Disney Sea (that is like California Adventure and has bigger rides), Hong Kong has a small Disneyland and there is a brand new Disneyland that just opened up in Shanghai, China! I doubt we get to them all but it would sure be cool!
Don't fall asleep right before we land and have to get off!
And we lost. But look how cute he is!
After a bus ride, we made it!
I loved their castle!
Logan still has the pictures of his first ride on his phone. We did the flying Dumbos! I will never forget seeing his little face light up as the ride started! He was so happy!
The next ride was the carousel. Waiting in line is hard!
As soon as it started moving he was all smiles! The second time around Connor saw me in the crowd and beamed even more.
Funny face!
Trying to have fun with a toddler....
I knew Connor couldn't eat anything there so I bought him Mickey apple slices that they sell at the grocery store and put all his snacks in baggies that had Mickey Mouse on them from the 100 yen store. I also got his shirt before we left. I felt like $8 was way cheaper than anything else we would have found at the park and as it turns out I liked it better then all the other ones we saw there.
Here comes our dinner! We got Mickey Mouse waffles and they were so good! We were really hungry!
It was sprinkling/raining pretty much the whole time we were there but not enough to be so bad we couldn't work around it - and it made it almost the perfect temperature outside! I also had come prepared with an umbrella and rain ponchos for all of us. Here we are with one of the ponchos over the stroller suffocating our son haha (when Logan started walking it sucked up against his face). Eventually we got it on so his face was sticking out of the hooded part so no real harm done.
Right before this, it really started coming down and because of the rain the parade was an abbreviated version called the night glow. I think it had like 4-5 floats and so it was super short (but on a trip with a one year old that really worked well for us!). After that was over, the park practically emptied! It was also a Tuesday night. This was great for us too! After this, we literally walked on to every ride after that! We had time to kill so we just hopped onto anything we thought Connor would enjoy! And he loved all the rides!
Look at that face!! Kinda blurry on the teacups but you can see just how happy he was!
Connor was almost as fun to watch as the rides! He was actually dancing but every time I started recording he would stop.
I loved that Connor was big enough to go on almost all the rides and also brave enough! The only time I even saw him jump was on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride when the fake cannons were going off next to the boat and were really loud. Here is our last picture of the night and Connor just spontaneously decided to clap and smile with no prompting at all! I think he really had a good time!
I loved this short little trip! We spent a total of 4 1/2 hours at the park and it felt just right for a trip with a toddler. After 5pm, they do discounted tickets so that was also a great deal (half priced adults, and Connor was free). While the weather was wet, it turned out to be a huge blessing because then there were less people, shorter/no lines and it kept it from being so hot! Besides 2 poopy diapers and a blowout, Connor was great! He loved all the rides and was so fun to watch. It was the best!
