We ended up only staying 2 days in Kyoto. We left early to avoid a typhoon and so glad we did! It ended up hitting the island the night our original flight got in. So our sightseeing around Kyoto was short and sweet.

Just like getting to Tokyo, traveling really takes so much of the day (especially with a baby). Checked out of our hotel in the morning, road the bullet train, figured out how to get to our hotel, checked into our hotel, got lunch/explored, back to hotel to let Connor get a nap and then walked to dinner. Full day but didn't get much sight seeing done.
Traveling on the Shinkansen (bullet train).

This day was packed full of fun! I'm surprised we did so much! It was our only full day here in Kyoto and I think we got to see most of its highlights. Of course it rained all morning but gratefully it stopped as we got to the Monkey Park.
Kyoto is a old traditional city and you can still see Geisha dressed up. Usually they are walking round the tea houses but we got to see our first one in the subway. We saw several throughout the day but this is the only one I got a picture of.
Fushimi-Inari shrine - known for its 10,000 tori gates. You pretty much walk up a mountain under a constant string of them. Beautiful!
Kinkaku-hi Temple - known as the golden temple because it is covered in gold leaf. It was raining hard here and Logan broke his umbrella getting off the bus so these pictures are all we got (didn't want to ruin my nice camera and the lens would have just gotten covered in rain spots anyway). Funny to note, we had lots of people taking pictures of Connor as they walked by or asking to take pictures with him here!

In our little photo shoot Connor decided to give me a big wet kiss so we made a cute picture out of it. This kid is so fun! To get him to look at the camera and smile we were blowing in his face and Connor looked like he was concentrating really hard and all of the sudden he figured it out and started blowing too!
Somewhere in Kyoto (kinda lost but still having fun, haha)
