When we get to Japan, we will be able to call anyone in the US for free using our new MagicJack. It uses our wifi for calls so we don't ever have to worry about minutes and any one can call us (please make sure what time it is first in Japan before calling!). The number is 425-270-4174. I already have it set up as my cellphone is being stupid (and it will go away forever in a month) so feel free to call me on it now.
One thing I did love about my cell was being able to use my headphones and being hands free. Now that I use the home phone more often, I needed to come up with a solution! With the help of a hair tie and headband was able to get just that! Ta Da! This is how I talk with all of you now and it is fabulous!
This weekend, I put on my last Relief Society activity! It was a Friendship brunch and I made crepes for everyone. It was a lot of fun but I would have never been able to do it with out Logan because both of my committee members were out of town! He was very supportive of me as I made crepes all Friday night (right when our air conditioner broke!), helped me set up and clean up after and was nice enough to help with childcare after I volunteered him for it :)
For all his help, I promised I would make him steak so we bought some t-bone steaks (that were on sale!) on Saturday and I cooked them up with mushrooms and sweet potato fries for Sunday dinner. He loved it! I liked mine too but only made it about half way through. When Logan was done, the only thing left was the bone! He said he was happy to help me out anytime!
That night I also made scones for the kids in his class. They were Vegan/Kosher so pretty much everything but gluten-free (but could probably be made that way very easily). They were really good! I liked the orange cranberry ones but I loved the lemon blueberry! I have decided that fresh blueberries are my favorite fruit!
