Great question and the answer is that they take a long pilgrimage on the rollie pollie highway that is behind my couches and when they get to the last leg of my love seat they have completed their life's work and are ready to pass on to the next life!

There the noble rollie pollies stay forever until I come with my vacuum to suck them up and give them a new resting place.
