Enid, Oklahoma

Monday, March 5, 2012
After all our fun over our two month break it was finally time to move! We got several furniture items off of craigslist like our couches, dresser,  and freezer and then we went to Costco and got all our food storage! That together with our new washer and dryer we had all the stuff we needed to move.

My family helped us pack everything up and then the next morning we set off for Enid, OK!  I drove the car and Logan drove the moving truck. We used my mom's walkie talkies to communicate and listened to the last book of the Hunger Games in each of our vehicles for entertainment.

In the middle of the trip the truck's engine light came on so we stopped to call Penske - they said it was just the emissions so we drove on. After about 10 hours we made it to Enid! That night we slept in temporary housing and the next morning we signed for our house!

Moving into our house was easy because several guys from the ward came to help us unload. The hard part was setting things up! We have never lived in such a large place! Three bedrooms - I feel so spoiled!

The day we got there everything was closed on the Base because of Martin Luther King Jr Day and it felt like a ghost town! Now that we have been here longer we know that people really do live and work here. Vance actually has the busiest runway in the US!

Enid is nice and cute. Not very big but that is ok. I am happy knowing that they have a Ross, Hastings and Hobby Lobby. Overall I like it here.

Logan's first day he was really nervous to report in but as it turns out all that means is that he signs a paper on Monday mornings and has worked in the SDO office until he starts IFS. I have loved that he has had a lot of time to hang out with me! We enjoy working out during lunch and that he is always home early!

While Logan is gone at work, I have fun at home cleaning, crafting and cooking! I couldn't be happier! I also have loved getting to know so many amazing spouses especially the LDS women on base! What an amazing group of girls!

Our ward is great and a pretty good size. We only have one ward but we fill up every week.  On our third Sunday here, we had the opportunity to give talks and I personally think it was one of the best talks I have ever given!

So far, We couldn't be happier and Logan is getting very excited to start training for real. After a struggle with paper work and dates we now know when he starts IFS and UPT! Logan can't wait to fly!

It took me a while to get the house put together but here are a few pics so you can get an idea of what our house looks like...
