10 Month Photo Shoot

Friday, July 31, 2015
I took a few test shots to see how the lighting was and I think I got a few of my favorite ones here. These are 12 month pajamas.
I think these are the only ones I got while he was on the couch. The rest of the time he was trying to dive head first off.
I love these next three all together.
Best face ever!
Peek a boo in the glass
Mom, I have something important to tell you....
He actually has about a 1/2 inch of light golden hair all over but I love how the longest is on the top.
After dinner we went to watch the sun set. We really don't get to the beach enough even when it is only 15 minutes away!

10 months

This kid just gets more and more fun every day! He loves to push anything that he can...
Laughs at silly things and can stand...
And I love how he is learning what mom mom mom means!
So probably the two most exciting things coming into 10 months is that Connor has learned how to pull up and stand on his own and is learning words! He doesn't really say words yet but I can tell they are starting to make more sense to him. The other day I told him to go get his bottle and he did! He has learned that when he says mom it gets my attention. He now says that when he needs something or wants me. I'd say that's good learning. He is learning what "no" and "stop" mean too. I say them a million times a day it feels like - "stop pulling the computer plug out" "no! Don't eat that fuzz". haha. He is great at screaming when he is happy or bored. My new favorite is he makes the "brum brum" sound. Kinda like a car engine starting up and vibrating.
Church Biddies. Having Logan to help at church is great. Otherwise it is a 3 hour wrestling match for me. I don't give him a pacifier all the time but it is great for church. Church can be hard because it is at 11. Either I have to wake Connor up early from his nap or try and get him to take one there. Usually neither approach works very successfully and we end up with an over tired grumpy baby. I think this is a very common thing for parents of young kids. I've always thought it would be nice to have church be a little shorter but this would be my strongest argument.
How is that comfortable Connor? He is pretty good at feeding himself. I just put the TV on a he watches until he is done. Sometimes he will flip over like this though. It is so funny.
This is what my living room looks like every day. He loves pulling all his books off one at a time and I catch him reading them in between playing. He loves his walker. Even when he flips it ups side down he will still push it on his knees. The nice thing is that he has gained enough balance and skills that even when he does fall it is more controlled and he doesn't get bruises all over his forehead like he used to. His other toys he gets a little bored of so I try and add little things every once in a while. Empty boxes, dollar store finds, and little things from the thrift store are all perfect!
Silly Faces!
Eating is still fun. He just learned how to squish! We are also in the great phase of learning about gravity.
Standing! He can stand for several seconds. Sometimes I will place him there but he also pulls up on things and lets go. He loves to hold both my hands and walk around. The second I let go of one hand his feet stop working. No steps yet. He is also getting so tall! He can now reach the top of the desk and further on the couch. We are doing round two of baby proofing.
Lunch with dad. Logan has started his new job (the one he really wanted!) and has been so busy! Sometimes Logan only gets to see Connor for about an hour before bedtime. Thats why it is always good to take advantage of time with him when we can. Connor loves his daddy and will go to him equally unless he is tired/hurt/hungry.
My new favorite hobby is taking pictures of him sleeping at night. As you can see he likes to pull his blankie under his tummy most of the time. He also collects his pacifiers under it as he crawls around. Thats why I have so many in there. He is still not the best sleeper but is so easy to put to bed now (even if it takes him awhile to fall asleep). I give him a pacifier and blankie and he puts himself to sleep. No crying, no struggle. Thank you baby! I only get up with him once a night for a quick bottle and then it is back to bed until about 8am.
Connor always sits with left leg in and right sticking out. He loves this silly remote toy. He likes to dance/bounce with songs.
More Videos! YAY!  Connor loves bouncing and has learned how to make his own noises.
So cute father and son time! Oh how I love it! Connor is so fun to play with when he is in a silly mood. These two were going back and forth all evening with the walker and Logan would come up form behind and start tickling him. After a while all Logan had to do was make the sound and Connor would collapse to the floor laughing! He is going to be a fun toddler!
Baby Jail. I keep him locked in the living room by having one gate by the kitchen and the other the front hall. He doesn't seem to mind unless he sees one of us on the other side. He always notices if one is open!
Baby's best friend - the box. I wish I had gotten the first part recorded of when he was making himself laugh a bunch.
In this one you can hear some of his funny sounds including popping his lips. Haha.
I love his laugh. The funny part is Logan was not trying to make him laugh at all. Connor just thought it was funny.
Hopefully I can get a video of him clapping sometime soon. It is adorable!
Connor got really good at eating from pouch food on our last trip. Funny enough he will eat it when we are out but doesn't like it at home very much!
Being cute again.
I love this little guy so much!
