Provo, UT

Wednesday, September 11, 2013
We had a great time with Cynthia and Cameron and Kara.
We went up the canyon and did foil dinners, played with Kara, ate ice cream and I got to take some family pictures of the cute Green family.

Campfires and Parties

Here are some more pics I got when we were out visiting Cynthia and Cameron. Here are some cute ones of Kara when we were up the canyon.
Something I thought was really cute is that Cynthia threw me a early birhday party complete with balloons and candles! It was really fun! Thanks Cynthia!!

Vernal, UT

Monday, September 9, 2013
After seeing Logan's maternal grandparents for a few day and helping my sister move we went to Vernal, UT to see my bestie Megan and her family. While we were there we went on a rafting trip. Here are some highlights:
Apparently to be a fun rafting trip you had to get into the water. It was freezing cold but with a little encouragement we all ended up getting in!
As you can see by my face, we pretty much flash froze our bottom halfs. It was fun looking back on it now :)
Bailing out the raft.
While we were there we also got to go to a dinosaur museum called the quarry because they have a wall of partially unearthed dinosaur bones that you can see sticking out of the dirt. It really was fascinating being able to see what they look like before scientists take them out of the ground.

Colorado

Tuesday, September 3, 2013
We spent a few days with family at my grandparents cabin in our drive up to Washington. It was especially special because my sister Katie flew down and my other older sister Cynthia and her family drove there so all of my family except my bother in law Jeff were there. I always love it when me and all my sisters are all together!

While we were there we helped fill in the old root cellar, went fishing and had a great time being together as a family.

Moving from San Angelo, TX

Friday, August 30, 2013
This was our first military move. Up until this point, we have always moved our selves. I think we learned a lot from it and what to expect in the future.
I was weird to not help out but quite nice to not have to spend days packing up and usually hurting my writs in the process. I know that I could have done a better job and I'm sure we will get some broken things but as long as they will replace them, I don't think I'm particularly that attached to anything.
On our way out of town, we stopped at our favorite place that we found in San Angelo. It was called Peasant Village. It is a great Deli during the day and a nice sit down at night. Unfortunately, all of the high school students were also there but it was worth it once we got our yummy sandwiches.
Our car was pretty well packed up on our way out of town but not all of it was actually going with us to Japan.
Then we started our drive to Albuquerque, NM. Our first stop!
When we were about half of the way there, we got stopped in a huge line up of cars. It was because of a really bad accident and we saw several ambulances and a life flight. It added about 45 minutes to the drive.
Once we got going again we got stopped AGAIN for a mandatory State Police ID check. They made everyone stop and show drivers licences and registration.

So, it took us a little longer to get there but eventually we did!

Saying Goodbye to Friends

Thursday, August 29, 2013
It took me a while to get friends when we came to San Angelo but by the time we left 8 months later it was actually really hard leaving all the people that we had come to know and love.
I ended up being really close to all the girls that were in the Relief Society Presidency at church with me. They are amazing and great people! I especially became close with Cassie. She is one of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever met! We had so much fun getting out and talking.
Logan had a great training class that made work fun and were all really great! On one of our last nights there, some of us that were still there went out to eat. I wish you all the best!

Zumba Girls

Tuesday, August 27, 2013
One thing that I stared to do while I was in San Angelo was Zumba. I've known about it for a while but never tried it till I got there. After my first time, I was hooked! It was so fun and didn't feel like working out so I was a total fan.

The other great thing about it was the girls that I did it with! They were fun and amazing people! I love them and will miss them a ton!
We also had a fun time burning and eating calories all in the same night!

Funny Moments with Logan

So I have these cute little green bowls that my sister gave me a while back. I use them all the time but the only place they get clean is in the very middle rack of the dishwasher because they can sit flat. If I put them anywhere else, they tip over and fill with water. I have of course told Logan this.

So the other day when I went to load a green bowl, I find this! Logan had put all his lunch Tupperware right in that middle row that I needed.
Annoyed, I went into the office where he was at the computer and said, holding up the green bowl, "I'm glad you loaded your lunch dishes but you put them right in the middle row, the only place these can go!".

Logan turned around and innocently said "I knew there was something important about the middle row. Kinda like when Tony Stark brings Pepper Strawberries." We both start laughing and I tell him "Okay, you get credit for that." I gave him a kiss on the forehead and left to go fix it with a smile on my face. How could I stay mad at him ever! He makes me so happy!
Just now, I looked up the lines and it's funny how close our conversation was to theirs in Iron Man2:
Pepper - Did you bring me strawberries?
Pepper - Did you know that there's only one thing on Earth that I am allergic to?
Tony - Allergic to strawberries.
Tony - This is progress, Pepper.
Tony - I knew there was a correlation between you and this!

Monday, August 26, 2013
I got some pics of my last activity that I did for my ward (Thanks Tracy!). Logan helped me set up and I did most of all the food and decorating. It all turned out great! I was pretty happy how cute it was considering I only spent $2 on all the decorating!!
I've become such good friends with so many of these girls! I will miss them!
