Dixon Thanksgiving - Christmas

Monday, December 25, 2017

For Thanksgiving we had Logan's sisters Tricia and Dana over. We went from 3 in our house to 13! So many littles running around! The oldest is 5 and youngest was 12 months. Dana and I were also both pregnant.

One of the evenings we were talking about dirty ears for some reason. Logan is the king of ear gunk so he was telling them about ear cleaning kits. Then everyone wanted to try it out! haha You put in the solution and let it sit then use a squirt bulb to clean them out with water. Logan was the only one to have stuff come out. It was definitely memorable!
 Cousins!
 Meal prep.
I'm not gonna lie this was the best turkey I've ever made!
With so many little kids we decided to not go for fancy put practical. Cue the foil dishes, paper plates and folding tables.
This little girlie is 18 months. She both fascinated and scared Connor half to death. Being the fourth child Kayla knows how to make her self heard and Connor was not sure what to think of it.
Logan and I got to go on a surprise trip to New York City and when we got back we said goodbye to the last cousins. Big hugs!

Random December pictures....
My little dinosaur making a mess!
I heard Connor yell help from the living room and came in to just see a foot sticking out! Haha
First ultrasound of Dixon Baby #2!
The only reason we got a tree up this year was because of Logan! Connor helped put it up and decorate too! I am too sick by this time to be much of help to anyone.
We all love a nice fire! I was really worried about how Connor would do with them but he has been great!
Connor has learned to be more independent. I've been so sick sometimes he just feeds himself and has been doing a great job of getting to the potty!
When we need to get out of the house we like to take Connor to Chick fil a for waffle fries and to play in the kids area.  It is one of his most favorite things to do in the whole world right now!
Our first snow! It was fun how it snowed all day
Playing in the snow the next day!
Connor was a good helper and loved making our snowman!
 "Give him a hug"
Then over the next few days our snowman slowly melted!
 Ultrasound #2
It snowed again! But our snowman had lost his head!
Silly stuff.
Family grocery store runs to fill my cravings!
December Sunbeam practice! This is going to be interesting! Apparently Connor spent most of the time pretending to fall out of his chair, dancing to the music and trying to play the piano. EEK! We have a long way to go!
Home from church and we had a surprise visit from Santa! Connor still has no idea what in the world Christmas or this Santa person is.
I had some spotting so I went in for a check up and to get my Rogam shot. Baby ultrasound #3. Still looking good!
I've been having crazy vivid pregnancy dreams. I dreamed about this equation and was trying to solve it but couldn't. When I woke up I had to figure it out still.
This is what I look like most days. Have I showered or changed my clothes in two days- probably not. Am I wearing makeup - unlikely! PJ pants and hoodie - yes.
 Christmas!!
Connor loved the ball pit and head lamp he found first. I filled his stocking with olive cups, fruit leather and rice puffs and he loved eating all of them for breakfast!
PJ masks from Log and me and Logan really thought his present from the Greens was cool!
Also Log and I gave Connor a small train set from Ikea. Unplanned but Cynthia gave Connor the big train set and expansion tracks from Ikea. Then I remembered I had picked up a box of train stuff from the curb a year ago at Kadena that Connor had never seen so I added that to the mix and we had some pretty epic train systems going on! I think Logan loved it the best!
Happy boy! The rest of the day he just ran around in his undies and head lamp and had a ton of fun with all his new toys!
The closest thing we got to a Christmas family picture.
Connor probably played with his little head lamp from mom more than any other toy! He had that thing on all day for several days after Christmas. It was super cute!
